Living in South East England
This area of England encompasses the counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, East Sussex, Kent, Surrey and West Sussex. This region is home to many of the country’s most popular and historical cities as well as beautiful rural and coastal areas. The County hosts some of the country’s most iconic sporting events with perhaps the most famous being Royal Ascot.
Moving to South East England?
- Buckinghamshire is also home to an area of outstanding beauty with its Chiltern Hills which overlook the Vale of Aylesbury. It is also known for the town of Milton Keynes. The county is one of wonderful countryside and is still easily accessible from London, an ideal location for those who wish to commute to the city.
- Kent, known world-wide as ‘the garden of England’ is also easily accessible from London being no more than 35 minutes away. The spectacular and extensive coastlines of this part of the country offer beautiful views of the English Channel and even France.
- The county of Berkshire is situated amongst Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hampshire and also borders Greater London, making Berkshire another ideal location for those needing to commute to London. It is one of the oldest counties in England, is home to Windsor Castle and is therefore often referred to as The Royal County of Berkshire. The main town of Berkshire is Reading which has a range of bars, restaurants and a very popular shopping mall as well as Reading University.
