Moving to the East Midlands?

If you’re looking to move to the city, then the city of Leicester is the largest of the region. The city has a very strong history and heritage which is demonstrated through the churches, landmarks and the buildings themselves. Leicester has been of historical significance since Roman times, and has played an important part in many other periods throughout English history. In terms of nightlife Leicester along with Nottingham are the most popular of the region.
The forests and woodland areas of the region are known to have been the sporting grounds of Kings throughout history. Sherwood Forest of Nottingham is of course the home of the legendary Robin Hood and attracts visitors from all over the country in their thousands every year.
The area is home to the Peak district which encompasses some of the most beautiful views in England and is the second most popular national park in the world. With beautiful cottages, idyllic villages and spectacular scenery this is an amazing area to visit let alone to live amongst. There is a great sense of community and a strong feeling of pride and care for the district.
In terms of culture, this region is well renowned for food having been responsible for a selection of Britain’s favourites such as, Stilton cheese, Bakewell tarts, Lincolnshire sausages and Bramley apples. It is also the home of one of Britain’s most celebrated authors, D.H Lawrence. Born in Eastwood, Nottinghamshire, the house in which he was born and raised is now the D.H Lawrence Birthplace Museum.
The coastal areas of Skegness and Lincolnshire is a beloved holiday destination for many people from the East Midlands and all over the country with its Butlins resort in Ingoldmells as well as Center Parcs Uk in New Ollerton.
