THE PROPERTY
The Old Post Office is a Grade II listed building and was a pair of 18th century cottages in a row of four before being converted into one in the 1900's. Built of rendered cob and brick elevations beneath thatched roofs.
It was the village Post Office until the 1970's and in more recent years the cottage has been restored and upgraded, whilst retaining the many period features. These include stone or tiled floors, inglenook fireplaces, exposed wall and ceiling beams and many original doors.
Improvements include a well fitted kitchen, high spec bathroom sanitary ware and landscaped rear garden. Behind the cottage and facing south west is a sunny paved patio and extensive lawn. Brick outhouse as well as additional storage shed, chicken coup and kitchen garden.
EDUCATION
The area is well served by both independent and state schools. These include Bryanston, Clayesmore, Milton Abbey and Knighton House prep school in the village.
