Verwood: A town with a real community spirit

When you are making the decision to move to a town, you may look
for somewhere that has a big population and much to do in terms of
leisure and retail.
However, it could also be the case that you are looking for the
kind of place where you can get to know your neighbours and other
locals and become part of a tight-knit community.
This sort of way of life is most commonly seen in smaller towns
around the country, and one area where home seekers are likely to
find exactly what they are looking for can be uncovered when
viewing
property for sale in Verwood.
Verwood is a small town located in Dorset. It has a population of
just some 14,000 people, meaning that it will be perfect as a
destination in which to feel like part of a community.
It is located just 15 miles from Bournemouth, and less than 20
miles from Poole.
One of the aspects of the town which really brings the community as
a whole together is the local market. The Verwood Memorial Hall
plays host to this event every Friday, and by attending, residents
can meet other locals. They can also source some of the best
vegetables and other products grown or made in the region.
As well as this, the town has a community project which sees locals
have somewhere to take part in many activities. The Hub has a
theatre, a hall and a range of smaller rooms, all of which host
events pertinent to the area.
The Hub is also centred around a bistro which gives residents of
Verwood a great place to meet.
Throughout the year, there are also a wide number of events that
take place to give people that small town feeling that they may be
seeking out.
In June, Verwood Carnival comes to the town, giving all of the
family something to head to and experience some vibrant and lively
fun.
There are also the Rustic Fayre and Flameburst later in the
year.
