Those seeking UK properties to be helped by govt

More people seeking to get on to the property ladder will receive
assistance thanks to an extension of a government initiative.
Housing minister John Healey has revealed that, as part of an
£83 million scheme, more than 5,700 new and affordable homes
which were stalled as a result of the economic downturn will go
ahead as planned.
This news may be welcomed by people seeking property for sale in Suffolk, as well as elsewhere
around the country.
Commenting on the proposals, Mr Healey - who assumed his role in
June last year - said it will help the property market and will
lead to the creation of jobs.
Recently, RICS chief economist Simon Rubinsohn suggested that the
government's measures have aided the housing industry in the wake
of the recession.
Interest rates - which were kept at 0.5 per cent this month - have
also helped, the expert pointed out.
