Surrey's homes are the most valuable in Britain

A new study has found that Surrey's homes are the most valuable in
Britain, accounting for almost £287 billion.
PrimeLocation.com revealed that Britain has £5.6 trillion
worth of property, with Surrey making up 5.1 per cent of this
figure.
In terms of property wealth per head, the total stood at
£255,125 for Surrey, with other locations in the south
performing well.
Buckinghamshire lays claim to almost £99 billion of homes at
£198,490 per head and East Sussex has £101.2 billion, at
£196,300 per head.
The south east as a whole has a total property wealth of £1.6
trillion, with London at £1 trillion and the south west at
£488.3 billion.
Nigel Lewis, property analyst at PrimeLocation.com, said: "Property
wealth per head is driven by one key factor: demand. Homes in and
around the Capital will always be sought after because of the
increased population density in the south and its better employment
opportunities."
