Saga urges homeowners to check insurance ahead of Halloween

Those looking at apartments for sale in Wadebridge and other areas have
been advised to be on their guard this Halloween.
According to Saga, tricksters can cause thousands of pounds worth
of damage to properties, which means it is essential to have home
insurance in place.
The company has revealed that the average cost of repairs amounts
to £117, although seven per cent of homeowners could end up
spending more than £250.
Andrew Goodsell, executive chairman of Saga Group, said: "Halloween
is one of the worst days of the year for vandalism. For most people
it will end without incident, but for a few it may be an expensive
night."
He urged people to remove garden ornaments and check their home
insurance policies before excited trick or treaters take to the
streets.
In related news, Halifax recently reported that many people with
lodgers living in their homes are keeping them "under the radar"
because of potential tax implications.
