Rics release help guides for UK first time buyers

New research provided by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (Rics) has revealed that a third of UK first time buyers struggle to understand how the process of buying a new home works.

Even buyers who use estate agents can still become confused when dealing with the property market for the first time.

As a result of this information, Rics has produced a selection of free guides with the aim of helping new buyers understand the house buying process.

Rics believe that with Help to Buy encouraging first time buyers back into the market, clear advice could be beneficial to those thinking of buying a home.

“The guides we produced are designed to help those who're looking to buy, sell or rent a home and, hopefully, will go some way to making sure the growing number of transactions across the UK go smoothly,” said Rics global residential director, Peter Bolton King.

Other topics covered in the guides include: renting a property, letting a property and selling a home.
