RICS reveals positive housing figures

The latest property figures released by the Royal Institute of
Chartered Surveyors (RICS) show things are looking up for the UK
housing market.
For the first time since May 2007, price expectations have risen
and it is thought that this has been caused by increasing numbers
of buyer enquiries.
Surveyor optimism has also been improved by the activity in the
property market and falling levels of fresh supply are thought to
be fuelling the situation.
Furthermore, as more people make enquiries about properties, the
number of completed transactions is improving.
Jeremy Leaf, a spokesperson for RICS, explained that the lack of
supply is providing a "platform" for modest price increases.
This means that "while supply remains tight, the market is likely
to show tentative signs of recovery".
In related property news, fish4homes believes that many potential
homeowners are still cautious about the market and so are acting
now to avoid losing out in the future.
