Music lovers come to the village of Bromyard

The small town of Bromyard in Herefordshire is one which is quite
different to any other seen in the country. It may be a very small
former market town, embracing the quiet sort of lifestyle that
residents who move to the town would be likely to expect, but it
also has a different side to it, sure to attract people looking for
property for sale in Bromyard.
Over the summer, the normally quiet little town turns into a haven
of live music and performing arts, as people come from all over the
country to perform their arts in the town to the thousands of
people who will visit to join in with festivities across a number
of event.
The town of Bromyard itself is very small. Located near Leominster
and Worcester (thus giving ample opportunity for shopping and
grocery for those who want to live in a small town), it comprises
of only around 5,000 residents, making it a very quiet and down to
earth sort of town where people can enjoy living in relative peace
and quiet.
But it is its summer programme which makes it stand out from the
rest of the small towns around the country more than anything
else.
Bromyard is the site of the annual three-day folk festival which
takes place in the town. It is one of the biggest festivals of its
kind in the country, and welcomes many revellers as well as some of
the best acoustic acts in the area.
Last year, the town also hosted its first successful jazz festival,
which could take place again in 2012, after it was run in the
town's Falcon Hotel.
However, its biggest claim to fame lies with the yearly hosting of
the Nozstock Festival. This particular event attracts around 3,000
visitors to the town every year, bringing in revellers who can
enjoy 30 live bands, a circus, various other events, and a vintage
tractor arena.
