Landlords should make sure that they are preparing the home

Landlords who are looking to make their homes more appealing should
make sure that they are dealing with all the little things rather
than heading towards big scale changes in the household.
According to Lee Grandin, director at Landlord Mortgages, it is the
case that smaller repairs and keeping up with maintenance are the
most pressing issues in the home.
"General regular maintenance is your safeguard against the property
falling into disrepair that will inevitably lead to expensive
repair bills."
He also went on to say that many landlords make the mistake of
undertaking big changes with little benefit in terms of rent
gains.
Earlier this week, there was good news for tenants, when data from
haart showed that rental prices are dropping in the middle part of
2012. The average cost per month of renting a house in the UK now
sits at 4.3 per cent lower than it did in April.
