First timers should make sure not to dismiss any options

First time home buyers should make sure that they are not
dismissing any possible options when they head to the estate
agents for the purpose of looking for a house.
At the current time, it is difficult for young people to get onto
the market because banks are not overly keen to give them a
mortgage.
However, it has been advised that in these difficult conditions
they do not dismiss any options.
Robert Dibb, spokesman for FirstRungNow.com, said that it is vital
that first timers in particular take the time to sit down and look
at any and every possibility for them to get onto the ladder,
including purchasing further down the line and staying at home to
save now.
There are other ways to get a foot on the ladder though.
"We have lots of people calling saying that they don't want to look
at shared ownership for example, however, when we run through all
the details it often becomes something that is quite appealing,"
said Mr Dibb.
