Do houses for sale in Gloucestershire offer romance?

Property for sale in Gloucestershire may well be sought out by lovebirds after a road in Lower Slaughter was named the UK's most romantic.

Copse Hill Road has been named winner of the Google Street View award for most romantic street in Britain following a two-week vote by more than 20,000 people.

Estate agents in the county may find themselves inundated with young couples trying to find their own love nest, in what is sure to be a boost for houses for sale in Gloucestershire.

The Lower Slaughter street beat Front Street, Bamburgh and the Royal Mile in Edinburgh to the prize.

Chris Dee, tourism manager for the Cotswolds, told the BBC he was "thrilled" the street had been recognised as a romantic location.

This is the second award given to the county this year, after a property in Upper Slaughter was voted England's Favourite House.

Eyford was awarded the Country Life magazine prize by judging panel member Julian Fellowes, who described it as "the quintessential country house".ADNFCR-1222-ID-800570467-ADNFCR
