Agents selling more properties, says NAEA
Estate agents in the UK sold more properties in April, on average,
than they did in March.
According to the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA), the
average number of properties sold by agents in the UK last month
was ten - two more than the previous month.
It provides more evidence that "confidence is returning" to the
property market, according to chief executive of the professional
body for estate agency Peter Bolton King, which may be positive
news for those looking to sell their homes.
"Six months ago people were talking about how British people's
attitude to owning property had changed in the recession," said Mr
Bolton King.
He added that the NAEA has always disagreed with this statement and
was sure demand for property remained - it was just confidence that
had disappeared.
Halifax recently claimed that property is at its most affordable
for first-time buyers in over six years.
